"You are not responding to the latest message in this conversation"
Has anyone seen where a user replies to an email and receives a MailTip that "You are not responding to the latest message in this conversation" but the message that is displayed has nothing to do with the message that displayed the MailTip?  I think Outlook users the MessageID to determine if messages are related in anyway but from what I can tell the two messages have completely different IDs.  Any ideas?

Hi,

Conversations in Outlook are actually grouped by Conversation ID instead of Message ID.

Please use MFCMAPI to find the messages' Conversation IDs and see if they match:

Please Note: Since the web site is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice. Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of this information.

Go to QuickStart -> Open Folder -> Inbox, to search the messages. We can find the ID under Conversation ID column.
